In-Depth Exploration of Earthenware Construction and Surface Decoration Techniques

A One Day Demonstration Workshop with Robert Kibler

Sunday, August 27th from 10am to 4pm
Crescenta Valley High School Ceramics Department

 

Robert Kibler, Professor of Art, Glendale Community College will be demonstrating his techniques in the development of his work. During this workshop, he will be covering these topics: Majolica forming and painting techniques and hard slab construction/underglaze & overglaze decal techniques; which may be applied to different firing temperatures.

Rob’s work was featured in both American Craft and Ceramics Monthly and shown extensively in the United States in both solo and group exhibitions at galleries such as the Garth Clark Galleries in New York and Los Angeles, the Elaine Potter Gallery and the Hibbard-McGrath Gallery in San Francisco, the Fine Arts Gallery in San Diego, the Great American Gallery in Atlanta, and the
Craft and Folk Arts Museum in Los Angeles. Pieces are in the permanent collections of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Long Beach Museum of Art and in many private collections internationally.

 

 

 

Workshop Fees: $100 for ACS SoCA, VCPG and CASD members, $150 for non-members, $50 students with proof of current minimum enrollment of 6 units. When your signed form and check is received, you will receive an email confirmation. Expired ACS So CA workshop certificates will not be honored. Checks will not be cashed until after the workshop.
