MISSION STATEMENT

Established in 1945, American Ceramic Society of Southern California is a not-for-profit organization consisting of studio and production potters, sculptors, teachers and ceramic designers and technicians whose mission is to share and increase knowledge of ceramics with each other, and to expand public awareness and appreciation of the many facets of clay.

Participate and show your work at Beatrice Wood Art Center in Ojai, CA annually. The 2025 show is Aug 31-Oct 19. All members are guaranteed one work in the show and can submit up to 3! Info here
Meet other potters, clay artists, ceramicists, educators, studio technicians and sculptors.
Attend ACSSC organized workshops with local and nationally known artists at reduced rates.
An individual artist page in the member’s gallery on our website.
Participation in our exhibitions and our fundraiser and marketplace, ACSSC Clay Festival & Marketplace.
MANY NEW OPPORTUNITIES are being planned for members in the second half of 2025 including a Buy/Sell/Trade event.
Receive our newsletters which will contain announcements, member info, and articles about ceramics.
You can post as many as 3 free announcements annually in our newsletters; submit ceramic tips, your shows and events, and articles about ceramics to our newsletter.

All Memberships are valid January 1 through December 31. Join anytime during the current year. Memberships are not prorated as American Ceramic Society of Southern California (ACSSC, ACS/DC) is a 401c3 charitable organization. Memberships and donations are tax deductible.

ACSSC consists of studio and production potters, sculptors, art teachers and ceramic designers and technicians. Our membership is 250 strong and increasing due to our outreach to the different academic and community art and private ceramic studios throughout Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Diego and Ventura Counties. By becoming a Supporting Member, you will be a valuable contributor to our art and ceramic education by sharing your technical expertise and providing information about your services and products.
