I LOVE CLAY!!

 

I love clay because of the exponential opportunities in using a multitude of techniques. The results can be fabulous or really terrible. With the current trend of clay artists leaning towards earthenware or mid-range high fire, I work mainly in cone 10 porcelain and stoneware. I love the fluidity of working in porcelain and the ease in which one can create mood and movement by applying slip, piercing or piecing fragments and layering different glazes. I love to experiment with glazes and am constantly adapting glazes or glaze technique to interpret my intention with my vessels.
